Any ideas on a mystery dog illness?
I have a two year old Jack Russell Terrier that loves the water. She has always played in the water with no problems. Two weeks ago we took her to a lake and after swimming and playing for more than an hour she became sick. We initially thought she must have swallowed too much water, but she became worse. By the time we got to the emergency vet her temperature had dropped, heartrate had dropped, she was shaking and panting with labored breathing. She also had neurological effects such as balance difficulties. The vet thought it may have been a toxin.
Two nights ago, we took her to a completely different lake. After about a hour of swimming and playing she had the start of similar symptoms. By the time we got her back to the emergency vet her temp had already dropped again and she was weak. Since it was a different lake, we know it wasn’t the water or a toxin. Her bloodwork showed very low electrolyte levels and after a night on fluids she was fine again. Any ideas that this is?

How do I cook chicken for my sick(diarrea) dog?
My dog has diarrea and I took my dog to the vet, she told me to give him a diet of rice and cooked chicken. How do I cook the chicken, can anyone give me a step by step(just imagine that I’ve never cooked in my life), I dont have a thermometer so I dont know when the chicken is 170 degrees. I dont want to make my dog sicker by not cooking the chicken how I am supposed to. Any ideas please.

What type of illness has my dog caught?
My dog has recently come down with something. She is 8 years old Her symptoms are diahera, muscle spasms, trouble getting up, and a stuffy nose. there are two other dogs in the area, one is a puppy, the other is an older dog. My mother also occasionally gives her a baby asprin to help her with her arthritis. any suggestions?

What illness did my dog die from if she was panting reallly hard after relaxing for hours?
My dog was panting really hard for about 10 minutes and I was worried and I told everyone so we tried helping her. After she was breathing hard she stopped breathing;within a minute she died[[just like that]]. what disease did she die from? or was it old age?

Is there an actual illness which makes a small dog’s feces smell like a skunks spray?
This is a very strong smell, smell’s exactly like a skunk’s spray, and the smell will linger forever. My dog has never had this before, and she has not changed her food lately. Also, she has her anal sacks emptied regularly, so i don’ty think that’s it.
Is there an actual illness associated with this?
You have to be sick yourself, to suggest that someone go to the vet because their dog’s s-h-i-t stinks. Sheesh.

Can someone help me identify what possible illness my dog has?
My dog is a German Shepherd and he is 9 years old. He shows a sad expression and seems really tired. This happened all of a sudden this morning and has been like this all day. He does not want to eat, drink, and play with my other dog like he usually does. At times, he would randomly drool.
And he has watery eyes.
