How do I know if my dog is sick?

My dog has lately had eye boogers, I wipe them away but just an hour or two later there back!

Also, we had a broken glass outside and he may have been over there but usually he’s not allowed to go out front.

He has been licking and biting at the bottom of his two front paws. I have felt his paws but I don’t feel anything.

I was told getting splinters can make dogs sick but I don’t know how true that is.

Other than that he seems fine.

Does anybody know if catnip can make a 1 year old dog sick?

Every time when i give my cat some catnip my dog eats it as well would it make him really sick or what.

We all know that a dog gets sick when it eats chocolate. But does it affect the dogs behavior?
