My dog does this. Its called Idiopathic Head Tremor and has nothing to do with what you feed him, and is not stress related. Fact is, no one knows what causes it. It’s common in Boxers, Dobermans, Bulldogs and Labs. I do have to recommend not feeding him Science Diet, it’s chopped full of crap! Same for purina… Look for natural ingredients… Innova, Blue Wilderness, Nature’s Variety, etc…

My Bulldog has the same problem like your Boxer, she´s doin it as a stress reaction that she cant compensate over a longer distance, she startes shaking i always start crying fell down on my knees kissing her head, pressing her softly agaist my chest and stroke her softly. Munich University starts a studie about this progress.

If you are too scared to feed him raw, stop the dry food and cook for him. Do it for about a month, so that his body gets rid of all the preservatives dry food has.
You will be suprised to find out the shakings stop!
Don’ t feed him anything that has preservatives (dog biscuits etch) only fresh food

ok, stop feeding him dry food starting NOW!
Dry dog food is guilty for this kind of shaking in so many dogs, especially boxers!
Get up right now and trrow away the kibble.
    Start studying on barf (raw).
And I can promise you, that 99% this is your problem: dry food! Or, to be more specific, something in it. Only no one can find out exactly what!

I know it sounds scary, feeding raw meat. I was scared too, but know there’s just no way I would feed my dog dry food ever again!

I feed him pretty much the same thing everyday of his life, Science Diet adult or SD sensitive stomach

    VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!
    What do you feed him?

I think I have the answer to your problem.
    I really do.

Dogs can shake heads when they have ear mites or ear infection. If ears are crusty or sore/swollen take him to vet. Also sometime Spot on can cause this as well as excess salivation. If used it will pass.
Other than that head tremors are often seen in canine neuroaxonal dystrophy and cerebellar cortical abiotrophy tho that is in conjuction with many other syptoms and is pretty unlikley! Just thought I’d mention it so if there are other symptoms you can look it up. Hope that helps.

my puppy did this on Friday. We rushed her to the EM. It lasted about 5 hours. The vet doesn’t know why it happened but she had her vaccines on Wednesday. They don’t know if it was a reaction to the vaccines but they don’t think it was. Was your dog vaccinated before this happened to him?

Hi there, thanks for posting this. Our boxer dog has started doing this. Often it is upon waking up.

Can you confirm if changing from complete food/kibble worked?

We used to give her raw meat as a puppy as it was recommended by our breeder.

We have used Autarky complete for quite a while now.

she is exactly the same as your video like she is saying NO.

It can be stopped putting food to her nose.
